Crotalaria rotundifolia

Description:

From the "Field Guide to the Wildflowers of Georgia and Surrounding States" - found in dry, sandy or rocky woodlands and disturbed areas. Usually on the coastal plain but also a few Piedmont counties. Stems grow along the ground up to 2 feet. Flowers are yellow pea-shaped flowers about 1/2 of an inch long with an erect banner petal.

Habitat:

Georgia Piedmont / Indian Springs State Park - found growing beneath a pine tree in a sandy and rocky area by a lake.
