Welcome to Project Noah, clcorig.
Most of the trees in Mt Madonna park are redwoods. If you had any photos with close ups of the branches and leaves, otherwise it will be hard to tell.
That park also has a species of tanbark oak which from a distance doesn't look like oak because it grows tall like a redwood.
