Description:

Family: Noctuidae, Subfamily: Noctuinae, Tribe: Noctuini (Darts) A common medium-sized moth with long moderately narrow FW. Usually late season fliers. TL 22-24 mm. Dark brown to violet gray FW pattern similar to Subgothic Dart but darker. Pale yellow/beige streaks extends through central median area. Crescent-shaped spot is pale yellow. Hosts: Various low plants and crops

Habitat:

Fields and meadows. Mostly nocturnal, but some can be seen during the day feeding on nectar in fields and meadows. Attracted to light.
