Cyanistes caeruleus
The Blue Tit (Cyanistes caeruleus[2] or Parus caeruleus[3]) is a small passerine bird in the tit family Paridae. The bird is easily recognisable by its blue and yellow plumage, but various authorities dispute their scientific classification. Blue tits, usually resident and non-migratory birds, are widespread and a common resident breeder throughout temperate and subarctic Europe and western Asia in deciduous or mixed woodlands with a high proportion of oak. They usually nest in tree holes, although they easily adapt to nest boxes where necessary. Their main rival for nests and in the search for food is the much larger Great Tit. The blue tit prefers insects and spiders for their diet. Outside the breeding season, they also eat seeds and other vegetable-based foods. Blue tits are famed for their skill, as they can cling to the outermost branches and hang upside down when looking for food.

You're welcome Janine! I've noted you've changed the common name, but not the scientific name :-)
thank you daniel, for id i am using my mothers computer which i only have around 1 hour a month to use so i apologise for the haste in updates.
Hi Janine, we would prefer you to describe what you actually saw instead of copying from elsewhere. This way you might have realised that the description did not match the bird. We would also like you to complete the habitat field with the actual habitat where you saw it. Please refer to our FAQs http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/140... for more info.
Lovely bird Janine! With the dull blue "beret" and the eye stripe it's a blue tit and not a great tit.
