Description:

Family: Limacodidae (Slug moths) 13-19 mm long on Winged Burning Bushes. Also known as Saddleback caterpillar. Green with brown on either end with whiteand brown "saddle" in the middle. Venom in spikes and stings are painful. Two caterpillars shown

Habitat:

Winged Burning Bushes in front yard near house (source of light from many adult moths visiting the last several months.)

Notes:

Night photography/rain. 2nd spot of the day. 3 photos of each two caterpillars.
