Aleutian Cackling Goose

Description:

Cackling geese look similar to the larger bodied Canada Geese. As you can see in the 2nd image the Canada Goose has a pale front and no distinct white band around the neck. The Aleutian Cackling geese are smaller as seen in the 2nd photo, it also has a shorter bill, short neck, full color on chest and white collar around the neck. Most of the Cackling geese I've seen have been spotted with Canada Geese but in their own little groups.

Habitat:

These were spotted in a large patch of grass in a bay public park
