Green iguana

Description:

This large green iguana was basking in the sun wearing it fall and winter colored skin. They are green in the summer but change as winter approaches. I had never seen one quite this bright orange.

Habitat:

Along the banks of an inland fresh water canal

Notes:

He must have been tired or bored as in the third picture you can see him yawning.

Thanks for that information Karen. If breeding males are this bright it's for sure that the females can't ignore them!
