Ant "farm" the aphids They provide the aphids with a food source, protect them as they feed and then "harvest" the aphids' secretions. When the plant is depleted, the ants carry the aphids to a new plant. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aphid#Ant_m...)
