Description:

The elephant is the largest living terrestrial animal. The body is long and massive. The head is huge and sits on a short neck. The ears are large and fanned-shape

Habitat:

Elephants occupy many types of African habitat - savanna, bush, forest, river valley, and semi-desert areas. This particular elephant is a captive animal at the Toronto ZOO

Notes:

These elephants are suppose to be moving to a facility in Southern California - however this is still up in the air. At time of posting they are still in Toronto. (Sept 2012)
