Vaccinium corymbosum
A shrub w/ dark green leaves. Some stems are a pinkish color. The fruit before it turns in to blueberries is a ball-like shape opening at one end.
This plant was alongside a boardwalk at a County nature Preserve. It was mixed in w/ some other thick vegetation; and appeared to be the only one. The soil was changing from a drier uplands to a wetter swampy area.
