Spiny Bark Mantis

Description:

This is a winged male. The females look quite different and are wingless. This mantis was around 2.5cm long and very well camouflaged against the tree bark.

Habitat:

Found on a tree trunk on a cattle station, in area of tropical grassland with few trees.
