Vulpes lagopus
Photographed on the way to the "raft put-in", just before the badlands at Arctic Watch, Somerset Island, Nunavut. This little lady came up to investigate who we were. For roughly 30 minutes she played beside us, jumping in the air, rolling on the tundra, barking, digging for bugs & lemmings. A spectacular experience.
