Grizzly Bear

Ursus arctos horribilis

Notes:

My family and I were on our way from Colter Bay in Grand Tetons N.Park to Yellowstone, when we saw some people gathered along the road, and my mom begged my grandpa to stop. We got out and saw this grizzly feeding on an elk carcass. Everybody in our family got a chance to see the bear, and when we left, the park ranger finally showed up and he told everyone to get back on the road. We were real lucky to see this bear and seeing some grizzly behavior.

I'm surprised this dramatic photo isn't accompanied by any information. Please tell the community about this encounter.
