Little Black Cormorant

Phalacrocorax sulcirostris

Notes:

A beautiful water bird with striking green-blue eyes. We encountered this one on the Upper Noosa River in the Cooloola Recreation area. It let us drift quite close in our kayak. The Little Black Cormorant is one of only two totally black cormorants in Australia.
