American Goldfinch

Carduelis tristis

Description:

Certainly the closest I have ever been to a pair of these wild Canaries. He is doing the seed head relinquished peck on the wire when I came out to snap some sunflower shots. I didn't notice Her until I was done snapping picts. I walked right by her. Stood next to her and snapped a sunflower facing the garage. These are shy birds. It has been a F U N Summer, having them close by everyday.
