A mid-sized pennant. Males are red with black and red markings on the abdomen and red cerci. The hind wings have a large red spot at the base and small dark markings throughout the rest of the wing with dark wingtips. The dark markings in the wings can be variable but always have dark wingtips. Females and immature males are the same as mature males except red is replaced with yellow.
