Trillium

Trillium sessile

Description:

Beautiful clumps of three-leaf plants with a three-petaled purple flower on some plants. It has underground tubers that spread slowly, but, in the right conditions they can spread fairly rapidly.

Habitat:

Moist woodland, usually beside a small creek or stream.

Notes:

I'm sorry if the pics are fuzzy. The light was very low and even with a flash on I couldn't get super clear pics.
