Blue Eyed Dragon Fly

Description:

I was practising aiming and shooting with my VERY slow camera with this dragonfly. I only got one shot, before it disappeared when I was looking up and down between camera and scene. It wasn't until after I was reviewing my shots for the day that I noticed it's amazing eyes.

Habitat:

Pond

Notes:

the dragonfly population around this seemed a little higher than it usually was...which may have been due to an increase in mosquito population after heavy storm rains
