Trapa natans

Description:

Trapa natans is one of the 3 extant species of the genus Trapa. The species are floating annual aquatic plants, growing in slow-moving water up to 5 m (16 ft) deep, native to warm temperate parts of Eurasia and Africa. Each fruit contains a single very large, starchy seed. |It is considered a vulnerable species in Greece. It was spotted in Prespa lake, Macedonia, Greece.
