Banded Coral Shrimp

Description:

Photo take at -25ft near the coast on a big dead brain coral , this shrimp also call candy bar shrimp, reaches a total length of 60 mm , and has striking colouration. The ground colour is transparent, but the carapace, abdomen and the large third pereiopod are all banded red and white. The antennae and other pereiopods are white. The abdomen, carapace and third pereiopods are covered in spines. common on the Caribbean sea.

Habitat:

They can be found in shallow tropical waters of the Indo- Pacific region and western Atlantic inhabitant of the coral reef. From Florida , all the Caribbean sea , Central America to North Brazil.
