American Bullfrog

Rana catesbeiana

Description:

They grow on average to be about 3.6 to 6 in. in body length, legs add another 7 to 10 in to length. Bullfrogs go from 5 to 175 g on average in the first 8 months of life. Large mature bullfrogs can weigh up to 500 g, with exceptional ones attaining 800 g. The bullfrog skull is highly fenestrated; females have eardrums (tympana) the same size as their eyes. The males' eardrums are larger.

Habitat:

They were native to North America, but they somehow got carried over to Eastern Hemisphere. Likes dark areas.

Notes:

When I found it beside the stream, it was stying still like a rock so no one could see it among plants. So it's good at hiding.
