Saddleback Caterpillar

Acharia stimulaea

Description:

Brown/ tan at each end. Fleshy horns. Green body, reddish spot with white border. Actually known to sting (and stung my partner lol) and usually causes rash, nausea, dizziness that can last up to a week.

Notes:

Yard work has never been so eventful. Fortunately, Jody only felt some effect for about an hour. Great spotting of a cool little invertebrate out of the experience!
