Seven-spot ladybird

Coccinella septempunctata

Description:

This little fellow was about 1cm of length. Its elytra was of a red colour, but punctuated with three black spots each, with one further spot being spread over the junction of the two, making a total of seven spots.

Habitat:

Urban.

Notes:

I've been finding quite a LOT of ladybirds lately sometimes in groups of five... I wonder if their numbers raised or if it's just me noticing them more. This one was catching some sun till one of my cats scared it off, reason why it started flying down in confusion (last photo). I put it outside and it flew away.
