Achalarus lyciades
A dark brown skipper butterfly with gold markings on top of its wings and a frosty white spot on the edge of the underside of the hind wings. Wingspan 4.5-4.9 cm. Pic 3 shows a Southern cloudywing (Thorybes bathyllus) on the top right.
Spotted on a buttonbush plant along the edge of Lake Ouachita in Arkansas.
