Stick Grasshopper

Description:

Stick Grasshopper (Family Proscopiidae) of about 7cm bodylength; yellow/golden in colour with an orange 'horn'. Despite the rather bright colouration, it was very well camouflaged and I only saw it because it moved. Suggestions for genus and species are most welcome!

Habitat:

An arid region in the southern Ecuadorian Andes called "Desierto de Jubones", at about 1500m above sea level.
