Chestnut Tiger

Parantica sita

Description:

A large butterfly, a beautiful blue colour when flying. I tried for an hour of ore to get an open wing shot, but it folded its wings as soon as it landed. The Chestnut Tiger (Parantica sita) is a butterfly found in Asia that belongs to the Crows and Tigers, that is, the Danaid group of the Brush-footed butterflies family.

Habitat:

Seen in trees by a pool in an oak forest in japan. Parantica sita is a widespread species, being distributed from northern India to Korea and Japan, and south to the West Malaysian peninsula.
