Medium-sized hummingbird, with striking coloration. That pictured is a male...who is in process of keeping other hummingbirds away from his feeding area.
Sonoran desert and canyons. This was spotted in a woodland area, in Madera Canyon.

Thanks all...hummers are a challenge to photograph, and I treasure the few that are 'keepers'.
