White-tailed Deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Description:

A Buck fawn after its spots have disappeared.

Notes:

I've been working with various Deer herds for three years now. The Does know I'm not a threat and have now started bringing their young to me. My understanding of them and their body language has grown over the years. I feel honored to be allowed this opportunity to be a part of their lives.

YukoChartraw-Yes, unfortunately all good things must come to an end. For their own safety and well being, I have to refocus my attention and love to other subjects. They've brought an incredible amount of joy, curiosity and understanding into my life for which I'll be forever thankful and in their debt. Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed seeing them as well. :-)))

Ashish-Thank you so much! They really are, aren't they?. This little guy gets picked on by the other fawns frequently. Not sure if its a status thing (in the herd) or if his smaller size (height and weight both) that make him a target but I always champion the under dogs in life so, this guy is a favorite of mine. :-)
