Description:

These Bracket Fungi were growing on a partially burnt log of a dead Pandanus tree on the lava flow in Kalapana. The flow was perhaps a year old. Polyporus sanguineus??

That looks a good guess to me. Nice spotting. Dramatic pic. When you shoot fungi try to get closeups and 'underneath' shots. That's often where the best info is. Well done.
