Russula sp.

Description:

about 7cm across, growing under coniferous tree (pics 4 and 5). One young fruitbody's cap was beginning to crack (pic 2). Brittle but sturdy. Very mildly spicy taste and maybe very slightly bitter but other than that no distinctive taste or smell. Maybe the cap cuticle was a bit more 'creamy' than the flesh and gills

Notes:

aa4
