Eastern American Toad

Bufo americanus americanus

Description:

Subspecies of American Toad. Size: 2 inches (5.08 cm) Color and pattern are variable. Skin color can change from yellow to brown to black depending on humidity, stress and temperature. Spots contain only 1 or 2 warts. Most likely female. They hibernate during winter. Diet: Mostly insects and spiders.

Habitat:

Near woodlands. This cute toad lives in the front bushes and mulch that perfectly matches it. Range: Eastern USA and Canada
