white-banded cerulean

Description:

This is a (poor photograph of a) Lycaenid butterfly of the genus Jamides. I believe it is Jamides coritus. The photograph shows the underside of a wing but a closer look at the gap between the folded wings reveals the startling blue of the upperside(s). This is a very active flyer.

Habitat:

Spotted on vegetation along transect in secondary coastal lowland mixed freshwater swamp forest/sago swamp forest.
