Litoria caerulea
Large fat-looking green frog with pale underside, dark eyes and round toes.
Ground dwelling, wet sclerophyl forests, creeks and billabongs. Also know to frequent rural toilets, and found in urban backyards.
Not smart. This one needed rehabilitation after getting its toes caught in a door. Froggy we hope you are feeling better out there :)
Thanks guys, and I now see why they are also called dumpy :) this guy/gal was big and fat compared to the smaller slim ones I also had so I thought they might be different species, but probably close relatives! This one needed rehab but recovered well from broken hip and toes to hop another day and escape his terrarium.
White's tree frog is an alternate name for Litoria caerulea. :-) (dumpy tree frog is another but I don't care for that one)
I believe it is a White's tree frog from either coastal Australia or P. New G.
I'm not 100% on this one but it sure looks like Litoria caerulea to me. I put "Australian" in the name because there are other frogs in the world that are known as green tree frogs. :-)
