Very small skipper. Checkered yellow on reddish-brown color/pattern on wings. Some variation (as seen with the four individuals in my spotting).
Suburban backyard garden.
These cute little butterflies have been hanging out in large numbers along with some Sachems (skippers) in the garden the past few weeks.
