Long-billed Corella

Cacatua tenuirostris

Description:

Distinguished from the Little Corella, which is native to this area, by longer beak and darker salmon coloration around beak and on throat.

Habitat:

heartland is the western district of Victoria, but these were in Centennial park, Sydney, where feral flocks have dispersed along the east coast of Australia.

Notes:

The one in the tree was keeping up a constant "whining" and seemed to be calling the one on the ground in photo #3. Possible adult and juv? but no difference in coloration between them.
