Oxyopes scalaris
This pretty female is a mama! You can see her spiderlings in the second image. Unfortunately I didn't see them until I cropped the image. She's brown with light stripes running down her face. One in the center and outside each eye. Her egg sac was build on a leaf axil on dried lateral buds.
Chaparral on a Buckwheat bush. This species is found throughout Canada, the US and Mexico.

It's so amazing to find things after the event, like finding these babies that you had no idea were there. It definitely adds to the pleasure of the spotting. Nice one, Cindy.
