Description:

A small bat, roosting in the roof of a house porch, in the village of Cirangjang, near Cianjur.

Habitat:

Porch roof, Ciranjang, Cianjur.

Notes:

Not the sharpest of images, but took me several weeks just to get this much.

Yes, a lot of effort went into getting this shot. It was all about learning the habits, where the bats are going to land and then tripod and pre-focus (guess). You only get a couple of chances, depending on the number of bats. If you miss, you have to wait until the next dawn.

Awesome spotting! Getting a picture of a bat flying is incredibly difficult, and often requires specialized equipment. Even though the photo is blurred, you accomplished a great achievement, have no doubts about this ;)
