Description:

The caps live up to their name and are brick red. The caps of the more mature ones had a bit of a lighter margin. The gills are white and crowded and had a little bit of a brownish grayish tinge if you look closely.

Habitat:

On a fallen hardwood tree in a shady forest pushing out from under the bark.
