They also sometimes eat fruits and veggies that humans leave out, they even eat dead animals. After earthworms mate, their eggs and in a protective cocoon. The baby worms hatch and emerge and burrow in the soil, then they grow into mature worms. The worm was brown and about 4 inches long. It had segments every ¼ of an inch.
