Passiflora edulis flavicarpa
Grows on a vine, produces a round yellow fruit.
Hawaii
Out of 500 different types of Passiflora only one species can be called lilikoi. Some commercial lilikoi fruit farms produce 20,000-40,000 pounds of fruit per acre. The fruit starts off at a flower then turns into a fruit growing to about the size of a baseball. It is also used to make jellys, jams, syrups, and butter.
