Omocerus casta
Emerald tortoise beetle with modified elytron. Note the parasite on the pronotum and how it moved.
The spotting was made on an abandoned road on a hidroelectric project. I don't have to visit this road anymore but I keep going to check the improvement on environmental quality.
Omocerus casta is one of my first "remarcable" spottings when I started in Project Noah so it's always good to spot. All my other Omocerus spottings have been on the pacific side, this is my first on the caribbean basin.
