About 4-5 millimeters in length, colored as shown.

Habitat:

The bee was visiting various wildflowers in a narrow strip along a roadside. Overall habitat nearby is degraded shortgrass prairie with sunflower, yucca, prickly-pear cacti, and scattered elm trees.

Notes:

Perdita is an incredibly diverse genus and species identification is essentially impossible from images of wild, living specimens alone.
