Boletus bicolor
Just a guess on species based on a Google search of mushrooms in the area. Reddish colour, dry to the touch. Seen in the leaf litter.
CorduneanuVlad, I think I found it! Could it be the Two Coloured Bolete (Boletus bicolor)?
If this turns color (to blue) when you damage it, then I would say this is the Red Cracking Bolete (Xerocomellus Chrysenteron)
