Description:

A large white bird averaging 4 to 5 ft. in length, with a wingspan of 7 ft. Adults have black bills and feet.

Habitat:

Spotted on South Tamarac Lake in the open water near the frozen lake. Many spend the winter on the Mississippi River near Monticello.
