Description:

The male baya weaver is dark brown above with yellow streaks, a dark brown neck,yellow breast and crown,and a short, square-cut tail.The female is plainer with a dark brown streaked upper body and whitish under body. The Baya Weaver is so named because it weaves together a compact nest.

Habitat:

Open cultivation like paddy and other fields.
