Description:

Pixie-cup lichen. Primary squamules yellowish-green. Short, stout, often deformed cup-shaped podetia covered with small squamules or granules. Wide cups with bright red pycnidia or apothecia on the margins that can cover cup. Widespread and locally common on heaths, dunes, rotting stumps and in rock crevices.

Habitat:

On a rock wall covered by moss and lichens. Spotted at the mountains above 1300 m. high. Parque Natural de Sierra de Gredos
