Desert Iguana

Dipsosaurus dorsalis

Description:

One of the common lizards around the Mojave Desert area. The color is extremely pale brown that it's almost white. This one is around 4 inches long. Spotted 2-3 of them separately during the same hike.

Habitat:

Spotted under desert shrubs.

Notes:

This white lizard is relatively easy to spot since it ran right in front of me.

Oh no! Ours was a lovely pet - used it (only once) to repel a neighbor with dementia who used to walk into our house without knocking.
