We have Coprinus plicatilis in Britain.
It certainly looks like it.The common name is
Pleated Inkcap and sometimes Fairy Parasol.
I think Coprinus sp.is probably best for now.
If you upload it into Mushroom Observer they will
give you the correct Latin name.

Parasola plicatilis is the scientific name for 'Japanese parasol'

Hi Lenny,
As suggested by Jemma, Japanese Parasol (Coprinus plicatilis) and your suggestion seem to be correct.I am going to edit with Coprinus Sp.

Hi Adarsha. With fungi please try to get underneath shots. Often more important than top shots for ID. I think it's ok to push one over to see better. It is a fruiting body like an apple after all - they fungi would probably thank you for spreading it :-) I really like the soft pink centre on this one.

Looks like certain variant of Japanese parsol..But thickness of this fungi is more :) Fatty guy :P
