Amaxia Moth

Amaxia sp.

Found at Abra Patricia ( alt. 2,300 meters) in North Peru attracted by night lights. Any help with ID would be greatly appreciated.

Glad you like it Les. There were so many different moths here.

Hi Desmond, thank you for your comment, I am so sorry but I have only just noticed it.

That's quite colorful.

Thank you bayucca. I will edit as Amaxia sp. I found it in the highlands of North Peru and I see kennedyi was found in coastal Brazil. I freely admit to knowing next to nothing about moths although I have always admired them. Thank you so much for your help.

Erebidae, Arctiinae, Arctiini, Amaxia sp., close to Amaxia kennedyi?
