Description:

These galls were massive, about 60mm in length! They were on epicormic branching on a nature strip. The council have pruned these branches the next week and I've never seen them again.

Habitat:

Suburban eucalyptus sapling.

This tree has similar gall regrowth the following year and each contains a small grub. Possibly a wasp. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/374...
